Eight of Australia’s best archers will travel to China later this month to
take part in the year’s first World Cup event.
The World Cup commences on the 20th April 2014 and results can be found on
the World Archery website.

Recently the Australia Archery Hall of fame conducted their annual
Induction Dinner in Brisbane.
Archery Australia is pleased to advise Gretel Dabovich and Steve Jenninson
we inducted into the Australian Archery Hall of Fame.
Guenter Licht from Victoria was awarded Archer of the Year and John Hans
from North Queensland the Archery Australia Medal.

The Dead Centre Bowhunters Archery Club extends a warn invitation to all
members of Archery Australia to attend:
Yes, archery is part of the 2014 Alice Springs Master Games, and all
archers are most welcome to attend! Our club, camping area, and ranges
are set in one of the most picturesque pieces of country close to Alice
Springs. The IFAA field archery round, with marched distances ranging from
10 to 80 yards over 28 different target lanes, particularly complements the
FITA event the day after.
– ABA 20 target 3 arrow/1 arrow paper round: Sunday 12th October &
Monday 13th October
– IFAA 28 target paper round marked distances: Tuesday 14th October &
Wednesday 15th October
– FITA 60/900 round: Thursday 16th October
– ABA 3D 20 target round: Friday 17th October & Saturday 18th October
*Age Categories: *35 – 45 46 – 55 56 – 65 66 – 75 76+
*Classes: *Longbow; recurve – sighted; recurve – unsighted; compound –
sighted; compound – unsighted.
*Accommodation:* Options include accommodation houses from backpacker
hostels to international hotels, all within minutes of the town centre.
The Dead Centre Bowhunters club is 15km from town, and offers on-site
camping with flushing toilets and bush showers. Breakfasts and lunches
will be available for purchase.

This event is for *everyone*, with event categories for both *new Archers

This will be a fanatic two days of shooting in one of Australia’s most
extensive Archery Fields hosting all three events in the one location.

The 2014 Archery Queensland (AQ) Annual General Meeting will be held on
Saturday June 28th, 2014 via internet/phone hook-up at 10:00. As per the AQ
Constitution, half of the AQ Board will step down and their positions will
become open for nomination from AQ Members and subsequent election by AQ
Ordinary Member Delegates. Those members retiring from office are eligible
Each Ordinary AQ Member Club is entitled to have at least one voting
Delegate. Clubs with more than 50 adult members, along with the RGBs, are
entitled to two voting Delegates. All AQ Ordinary Members and Associate
Clubs may nominate a delegate(s) to attend the AGM, but only Ordinary Club
Members have voting rights.
