*[SQAS Archery] Archery — Important Information from the SQAS Management
Committee*

Hi SQAS Clubs,

The SQAS Committee decided at the last committee meeting that…

– SQAS would meet the cost of entry and team patch to the official SQAS
RGB Indoor Team similar to what we provide for other AA championships.
Please note the indoor selection period ends on 30 June so there are still
a few weeks left for archers to shoot the indoor scores to win a place on
the SQAS Indoor Team! Clubs are asked to promptly get all indoor scores to
the SQAS Recorder following the 30 June so that the SQAS team can be
selected.
– Clubs are reminded to appoint at least one Member Protection
Information Officer MPIO and to advise the SQAS MPIO Bevan McConnell of the
appointment and contact details. Clubs are also reminded that all members
of your management committee need to comply with your state’s Child
Protection requirements and in Queensland all management committee members
should hold a current Blue Card.
– Please note SQAS has adopted as policy that for Championship Events
there will be no late entries accepted. Entries will generally close about
10 days before the Championship tournament. Please let all you members know
about this important policy that may effect them. Also when entries open
on-line and the advertising flyer is issued please place it on your club
notice boards and web site promptly and pass on the advertisement widely.
– Due to the cancellation of the last Silver Arrow Field on the SQAS
Field Course, the first day of the SQAS Field Championships shall be
permitted to count as a SQAS Silver Arrow Field event. Those clubs that
have shot the event already will have the opportunity to shoot the SA again
at the SQAS Field Championships and the higher score will count.

Cheers

Brian Hagaman
