*Heritage works*

Hi all,

I just got the phone with BCC and they have requested access to our club
grounds for some heritage work to be done prior to the Wacol station road
upgrade. They want to dig a 5x1m trench 5cm deep in between the club house
and the driveway. If they find some artefacts, they might dig down 30cm and
could be there for up to 20-30 days. I have been assured that this will not
block car access to the front or back of the clubhouse or impede traffic
along our driveway to the main field. They will also be erecting safety
barriers so no one drives into the ditch. The BCC person didn’t know what
they were looking for but I suspect they have got wind of Graeme’s gold
bars. The Heritage works will start next Monday. As it appears there won’t
be any real disruption to club activities I said that it would be okay.
