*World Archery Championships*

Male members of the Compound Team have asked Archery Australia to promote a
fundraising activity to assist them in attending the upcoming World Archery
Championships.

NOTE – Members of the Female Compound Team have already undertaken their
own fundraising activities.

*2015 National Indoor Championships*

With the 2015 National Indoor Championship being only two weekends’ away
questions are still coming in concerning selection for the 2016 World
Indoor Championships in Turkey.

The main question is –

*I am a Cadet archer (could be intermediate or Cub); can I still shoot in
my age division 2015 National Indoor Championships and still be eligible
for team selection?*

Firstly, at the 2016 World Indoor Championships, there will only be one
youth division contested. In Australia we refer to this division as 20 and
Under or World Archery refers to this division as Junior Division.

As detailed in Section 4 Eligibility of the 2016 World Indoor Championships
Selection Procedure, a person from a younger division can try for
selection, in either the Open or Junior (20 and under) divisions at the
2016 World Championships.

As everyone competing at the 2015 National Indoor Championships will be
shooting the same rounds within their bow type, youth archers can still
compete in the 2015 National Indoor Championships in their usual division,
Cadet, intermediate or Cub.

But to qualify for team selection they must shoot the appropriate MQS for
the division for which they are attempting to qualify.

Correspondingly a Master, Veteran or Veteran Plus may also shoot in their
usual division at the 2015 National Indoor Championships and try for
selection in the Open division. But again they must shoot the appropriate
Open Division MQS during the 2015 National Indoor Championships.

Only scores from the World Archery Indoor round of the 2015 National Indoor
Championships can be used as the required MQS.

*ARCHERY AUSTRALIA NEWS 19/2015 UPDATED*

Further to my email earlier today where I mentioned the 2015 National
Indoor Championships and where to view the results.

The Archery Australia IT Committee who are managing the results for the
2015 National Indoor Championships have asked me to send out an email to
everyone highlighting a problem that has arisen.

They have been setting up the Open Team entries into Archers Diary and have
found that a number of people appear to have entered into the incorrect
Division and/or Category.

For example they have identified a number of people who have entered into
RECURVE for the individual event but for the Open Team Event have entered
as COMPOUND or visa versa.

The IT Committee has asked if every competitor could check their details in
Archers Diary are correct.

If not correct you should immediately contact the organisers of the local
event to ensure your details are corrected.

You can view your entry by going to www.archerdiary.com

and clicking on *Event Results* and then in *RGB:* select *Archery
Australia* and then click on *2015 National Indoor Championships*.
This will bring up the complete list of entries by Division and Category,
you should check you’re Division and Category is correct.
