Hello Archers.

Back from holidays and back to work. A little bit hectic but I still did
not check my leave balance to see how many holidays that I have left. A
good sign.

Take care and have fun

Regards

The 2015 National Indoor Championships is only two months away, the 18th

As in past years each RGB will be hosting local events and entry forms can
be found on either your RGB website and at the following link on the
Archery Australia website.

*National Indoor Open Team Championships*

Again this year we will be offering an Open Team event at the National
Indoor.

The Open Team Championships will be contested in the following categories

– Youth: Recurve and Compound
– Open: Recurve, Compound and Barebow (Barebow recurve, Barebow compound
and longbow)
– Master/Veteran/Veteran Plus: Recurve and Compound

Team members may be both Archery Australia and non Archery Australia
members.

There is no limit to the number of teams that can be entered in each open
category. Team entries must be submitted in writing to the local Organising
Committee no later than by 5pm local time on 13 July 2015.

Changes can be made up until 30 minutes before the first official practice
commences on the 18 July 2015 at that local venue.

Archery Australia Championships medals will be awarded in each category.
For non Archery Australia Team members an Archery Australia Visitors medal
will be awarded.

*NOTE – As this is an online event any changes to team names must be made
30 minutes before the first official practice commences on the first day of
shooting at that local venue. Any changes made after the start of shooting
will not be accepted and only those names listed by shooting time can be
used.*

*Team requirements:*

There will be up to four (4) members in a team

– Teams can be mixed gender
– A team name must be submitted at the time of entry
– Team members can be from the same or different RGBs, associations or
countries.
– An athlete may not compete in more than one (1) team unless entered
more than once in the Championships event and in different categories.
(e.g. an eligible archer may choose to shoot both as an Open and as a 20
and Under, so will shoot 240 arrows over the weekend and pay two entry
fees).
– Note that the RGB team event is a completely separate event.
– All members of a team will shoot the same bow type – either Recurve or
Compound or Barebow (may be a combination of Barebow Recurve, Barebow
Compound or Longbow)
– Team members must be shooting in the age division compatible with
their team entry
– Youth – all team members to be 20 and Under or younger and in category
entered in event
– Open – archers from any of the 7 age divisions may be in this team
– Masters/Veteran/Veteran Plus – all team members to be Masters, Veteran
or Veterans Plus in age and in category entered in event.
– Team winners will be decided on the aggregate of the best 3 team
members’ scores over the 2 rounds (120 arrows/archer)
– Archery Australia Championship or Visitors gold medals for any given
category will only be awarded if there are *at least 3 teams* entered in
that category.

*2015 Clubbies*

The Confederation of Australian Sport is an alliance of the 90 peak
Australian sports bodies. Its charter is to promote the concept of “sport
for all”.

*Inside Sport *is Australia’s leading sports magazine, published since
1991, with a gold plated reputation for the integrity and quality of its
journalism and writing.

*Together, CAS and **Inside Sport **have joined forces to introduce a new
set of awards that recognise the fabulous contributions made to grassroots
sport by the largely volunteer army of enthusiasts all around the country.*

There are plenty of gongs handed out to elite athletes at the pointy end of
professional competition. Not the Clubbies! The *Inside Sport *“Clubbies”
recognise the outstanding achievements of players, coaches and officials at
grassroots club level.

These awards meet the charter of CAS: to recognise and promote the benefits
of club level, grassroots sport to this nation’s health and well-being.

These aren’t your posh black-tie awards targeting the top end of town –
these are “The Clubbies”, aimed squarely at sport’s heartland.
